Restoration Services

Partial Restoration (Hone, Polish, and Seal)

For floors that require surface-level restoration without major repairs, our partial restoration process enhances the natural beauty of terrazzo and marble while providing long-term protection.

  1. Sealer Removal & Surface Prep – Any existing sealers, coatings, or wax layers are chemically or mechanically stripped to ensure the new treatment bonds properly.
  2. Honing – We use diamond abrasives to smooth the surface, remove light scratches, and eliminate minor imperfections.
  3. Polishing – A multi-step polishing process follows, using progressively finer abrasives to achieve the desired sheen, from satin to a high-gloss finish.
  4. Sealing – The surface is sealed with either vitrification (crystallization) or 3M™ Trizact™ Stone Floor Protector, providing resistance to staining and daily wear.

This option is ideal for floors that are structurally sound but have lost their shine due to wear and minor surface damage.

Full Restoration (Grind, Grout, Grind, Hone, Polish, and Seal)

For terrazzo and marble floors with significant damage, deep scratches, cracks, or heavy wear, our full restoration process is the best solution.

  1. Sealer & Coating Removal – Any existing waxes, coatings, or sealers are completely stripped from the floor to expose the raw terrazzo or marble.
  2. Grinding – Using heavy-duty diamond abrasives, we grind down the surface to remove deep scratches, discoloration, and lippage (uneven tiles).
  3. Grouting & RepairCracks, pits, and holes are filled with a color-matched epoxy or cementitious grout, ensuring a seamless, restored look.
  4. Second Grinding – After the grout sets, we re-grind the floor to ensure all repaired areas are smooth and even.
  5. Honing & Polishing – The surface is honed and polished using progressively finer abrasives to enhance clarity and restore a smooth, high-gloss finish.
  6. Sealing & Protection – The final step involves applying a high-performance sealer, either vitrification or 3M™ Trizact™ Stone Floor Protector, to protect against future wear and stains.

This process restores terrazzo and marble flooring to its original brilliance, making it ideal for historic buildings, high-traffic areas, and heavily damaged surfaces.

On-going Maintenance Services

After your terrazzo and marble floors have been restored, ongoing maintenance is key to preserving their beauty and durability.

Regular Cleaning

We use pH-neutral, stone-safe cleaners to remove dirt, scuffs, and surface contaminants without damaging the finish.

Periodic Polishing

Depending on foot traffic and usage, scheduled polishing sessions help maintain the desired shine and prevent dulling over time.

Sealer Reapplication

Over time, sealers wear down due to cleaning and daily use. We monitor and reapply sealer as needed to maintain protection.

Our customized maintenance programs help extend the life of your terrazzo and marble floors, reducing the need for frequent restoration.

Sealing & Protection Options

We offer two advanced sealing methods to protect and maintain your terrazzo and marble surfaces:

Vitrification (Crystallization)

A chemical reaction process that hardens the surface by bonding with the calcium in the stone, creating a durable, glass-like finish.
  • Increases wear resistance, making it ideal for high-traffic areas.
  • Enhances shine, providing a long-lasting, polished appearance.
  • Maintains slip resistance, ensuring safety in public spaces.

3M™ Trizact™ Stone Floor Protector

A high-performance coating system that protects terrazzo and marble with a durable, clear finish.
  • Creates a uniform, high-clarity appearance with superior gloss retention.
  • Enhances durability, reducing the frequency of maintenance and polishing.
  • Simplifies daily cleaning, making it perfect for schools, hospitals, and office buildings.

Patching and Crack Repair Services

Over time, terrazzo and marble floors may develop cracks, chips, or holes due to heavy foot traffic, impacts, or structural shifts. Our specialized patching and crack repair services address these issues to restore both the functionality and aesthetics of your flooring:

  • Damage Assessment: A thorough evaluation identifies the extent and cause of the damage.
  • Surface Preparation: The damaged area is cleaned and prepared to ensure proper adhesion of repair materials.
  • Custom-Matched Patching: A patching material is blended to match your existing floor’s color and design, ensuring a seamless repair.
  • Application and Finishing: The patch is carefully applied, leveled, and finished to integrate smoothly with the surrounding surface.

This meticulous process ensures that repairs are durable and virtually indistinguishable from the original flooring.
