Have you ever walked into a restroom and thought, “If the bathroom looks this bad, what does the kitchen look like?”. I know multiple of us have had this thought a few times and have even chosen not to revisit because of that very reason. But what is it that makes a restroom or facility feel dingy and dirty? Typically, it’s the dirty, stained or foul smelling grout lines which makes the entire space feel off-putting.
This is where we love to step in!
We pride ourselves in taking outdated or unclean hard surface flooring to the next level simply by restoring – NOT replacing. The end result? Customers, students, staff (etc.) will be impressed with the cleanliness of your building, and it all starts with the floor!

We recently received an opportunity to provide a floor restoration for a wonderful customer! They had previously worked with a company to have their floors restored but, unfortunately, the experience fell short as well as the outcome. The company used chose not to prime or coat the flooring, which of course quickly left this Cincinnati Country Club finding the red quarry tile floor peaking its ugly head back through.
Our crew at Midwest Floor Restore came in, took the existing flooring and proceeded with the following VariGLAZE restoration process below.
BEFORE

First, we cleaned the surface tile. This may sound minimal but it’s the very base of how we start a full and successful restoration.
Second, we removed the abraded pigment on the tile and rolled out a fresh coat of gray SaniMAX C. This allowed the current flooring to take on a new (and fresh!) pigmented color, making it look as though it were brand new!
Third, while the SaniMAX C was still wet, we broadcasted black marble flakes on top which made the flooring stand out and took it to the next level!
Fourth, once the SaniMAX C coating dried, we completed our restoration by rolling out a clear coat on top of it all. This of course protects the beautiful flooring and new pigmentation BUT, also provides durability and keeps future maintenance low.
AFTER

Now, you may be asking, “Why restore the flooring when you can just replace it?”.
One of the biggest motivators and/or benefits is the fact that grout restoration is HALF the cost of replacing the floor! Yes, half! But, we aren’t going to just leave you there. We’ll share even more benefits…
- It provides easy daily upkeep.
- It provides a moisture-proof, protective barrier using state-of-the-art polymer grout and Super Shield.
- The grout sealing aids in the control of diseases, bacteria, and even the MRSA virus.
- It extends the life of your floors.
- It protects your investment.
- It restores your tile floor to a better than new appearance.
The Cincinnati Country Club we worked with found these benefits to be true as well! We are happy to know they are pleased with the results and here’s what they had to say about it.
“Midwest Floor Restore was an absolute pleasure to work with. From the beginning of the project until completion, our Sales Rep Jake Sluis was professional, informative, helpful and overall a class act. The team that came in to restore our floors exhibited these same characteristics making the process seamless and enjoyable. We could not be happier with the results of our floor! “
